Video Art!

OK, these videos are the cream of the crop from my time arts girls (and 1 boy). They took everything they learned about the origins and processes of video, cinema, and performance art production and...VOILA! Here are 2 videos from Spring 2007, both with a soundtrack and between 3-5 minutes long.

Handmade Films!

I am very proud of the hard work that my students did on their handmade, 16mm camera-less films. My time requirement was very difficult, and required hours of work in only 1 week. They pulled through and made some amazing work. This film utilizes methods such as scratching, painting, implanting, bleaching, and animating.

Sequential Imagery!

My FND 111: Time Arts class of bright and talented new art majors have produced some great work so far this semester. These 3 works are examples of photography/still imagery sequence/text projects that explore time, perception, memory, linearity, simultaneity, etc. All are between 1 to 2 minutes long and silent.

lately

Lately i have thinking alot about my new installation: the sewing of it, collecting voices for the audio of the video, what the title will be......but here i must admit that not much physical work- except for having edited 2/3 of the visual of the video-has been completed. The quilt is laid out and ready for sewing (which sounds more time consuming than it actually is) but i just haven't found the time. always about time.....dots look cool with text ............................................................................................................................................................
timetimetimetime do i even have time to write this blog about the time I don't have?
I have, however, been working alot on my new 16mm film, The Optometrist. I hope to screen my progress on that project, in addition to the installation, in mid semester critique. I also hope, if there's time of course, to update my website soon to include production photos of The Optometrist, and a quick time of the video part of the installation (pre page teasers?).
does anybody really care about this shit except for me? ............................................................................................................................................................
